This is a 'Burning-Case-Study', of one 'INDIAN-Youth' of to-Day,'tarshid', who is 'Tenderly' transparent, but is also 'Couragious enough', to confess, of his feeling so,as 'Isolated' from his 'INDIAN-self', in his 'post' of Sunday, September 17,2006,at 14.48,of IBNlive-Website w.r.to above...'De-Nationalise our Symbols If They Mean So Little".
The last sentence of his post, is the most 'Heart-Breaking' for all of us who care the most, for our most loved-ones, the 'Generation -Next' !!!
I hence, am drawn to quote here that 'post', as a genuine 'Case-Study'......
"i was born an indian saw the country grow as i grew up.was a oung(read 'young') 5yr old when india won the world cup,was sad when indira gandhi got assassinated.saw chaos in the country,did not realise why?cried when india lost to pakistan in sarjah.....but suddenly......from an indian i became a muslim on....,i dont know where i have lost my indianness and who all are responsible for me ever changing identity........i juts(read 'just') wonder if i will ever be able to get back my indian self,hope to get an answer soon,.....", quote unquote.
Even after 6 days, till, September 23rd, no-one had replied to his request. So, I ventured to reply to his call, that got space finally, with a litle bit of tenacity though and published on a later date, the 25th September. I quote the same below.
"Dear Mr.Tarshid,
Your frank revelation of 'self' has touched my heart. Yours is a 'burning case study' of 'present-day-youth' in general, who are 'oblivious' of their actual 'identity'. "It's not because they are deprived of 'what they want', rather actually because of their ignorance of 'what they want" !!! I may be excused,if I am wrong in my views and suggestions.
Firstly,were you matured enough (at the tender age of 14), when you 'disaggregated' your 'allineation' as an INDIAN ? That's where and when, I think, you actually lost your
'true identity'.
Secondly, I hope you to appreciate, INDIA shall have to remain a 'Democracy'. Hence, one should not point all his five fingers at 'politicians' only.We (especially youth) as citizens of INDIA have to join our hands in expressing 'Solidarity' to our 'NATION-HOOD', as, above all religions,cast,creed and 'scoundrelly politicians'.
Lastly, we all wish to see in you, not just, another educated and cultured, but 'isolated', muslim, rather of being proud to be as an 'INDIAN-muslim' who valiantly 'lay-down' their lives as 'martyrs', in safe-gaurding and upholding INDIA's 'SOVEREIGNTY' !!
Hope you have got back your 'INDIAN-self ', already !!!
